CORNERSTONE LIFE TRUST BOARD
Was founded in 1981 by concerned representatives of Napier Churches and the house opened in 1982. A home offered in the name of the Napier Christian Community to adults who for various reasons could not live with their families.
From the 25th August 2004 we re-introduced ourselves as the Cornerstone Life Trust Board.
CORNERSTONE HOME UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT
Cornerstone which for 23 years has operated at 23 - 25 Wellesley Road, Napier is under new management.
With links to Disability Training Services H.B. Trust Board, we continue the life of the house along the established lines. Aiming to provide a caring Humanitarian, Christian environment for up to 9 adults with a range of special needs, enabling them with the confidence and life skills to move into independent living in the community.
The support persons provide assistance to Residents in supporting and guiding them towards greater independence and self-confidence as they adjust to life in the community.
Day to day expenses are met by the residents board payments. For major repairs, improvements and development to the buildings and facilities the Trust is fully dependent on the generosity of groups and individuals in the community.
